We are proud to announce the launch of the capsule collection designed by international renowned fine Art photographer Tony Kelly, a tribute to the timeless elegance of Alpine sports. This exclusive collection, entitled ‘Night and Day’, which was presented on 28 December at his gallery and later at the Kiton boutique in St. Moritz, is the result of an extraordinary collaboration between Kelly’s creative vision and the expertise of our artisans, masters of Neapolitan tailoring.
The capsule collection consists of three iconic pieces, all characterised by the refined English racing green that is emblematic of a sophisticated Alpine aesthetic. The collection includes:
- A double-breasted jacket with golden buttons that embodies the classic formal mountain attire worn by gentlemen.
- A field jacket, a perfect combination of functionality and sartorial elegance.
- Corduroy trousers, to give outfits added texture and a vintage flavour.
Handmade in our Naples workshops, the pieces of this capsule collection combine noble cashmere yarn - using both millionaire and beaver varieties - with a design that celebrates the Golden Age of Alpine sports. The collection, which draws inspiration from the 1970s and 80s, brings to life iconic pictures of handsome European men with timeless charm as they tackle the snowy slopes of St. Moritz, dressed in jackets and ties, as if for a formal dinner.
Tony Kelly has chosen to reinterpret that nostalgic vision in a contemporary style, to restore the refined elegance of life in the mountains. ‘This collaboration with Kiton is a dream come true,’ the photographer explained. ‘Working together with the Paone family in Naples when to pick the fabrics and develop the designs was an experience I won’t forget. Seeing the artisans sew each garment by hand, step-by-step, was absolutely extraordinary.’
With this capsule collection, Tony Kelly and Kiton aim to bring luxury and refinement back to the slopes, and usher in a new age of Alpine style. But this is just the beginning: the collection is merely the first leg of a journey intended to redefine the elegance of winter sports.
