Antonio De Matteis, CEO of Kiton, is the new president of Pitti Immagine, the Florence-based company that organizes fashion fairs such as Pitti Uomo, Pitti Filati, and Pitti Bimbo. Over the years, Pitti Immagine has expanded to include events for perfumes (with the Fragranze event), quality agribusiness (with the Taste exposition), and more recently, books and dance. De Matteis was appointed by the shareholders’ meeting upon the recommendation of the board of directors of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana (CFMI), chaired by Antonella Mansi, which is the controlling holding company.
The shareholders’ meeting appointed him upon the recommendation of the board of directors of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana, and he will hold the prestigious position for the next three years.
“I would like to thank the President who preceded me and the members of the outgoing Board of Directors for the great results achieved in these years, which have made Pitti Immagine strong, prosperous, and competitive,” said Antonio De Matteis. “Today, it is a great honor for me to be appointed President of one of the world’s most important events in the sector. With the support of the new Board, I am committed to continuing the excellent work done by my predecessors and offering my contribution.” "With the experience and vision that I bring, I am confident that I can work on new, significant projects soon.”
De Matteis will serve a three-year term, until 2026, alongside the new board of directors, which includes seven new members. Raffaello Napoleone and Niccolò Ricci remain confirmed, with Antonella Mansi serving as vice president.
